The Parish of Holme Pierrepont and Gamston lies to the South and East of it's larger neighbour West Bridgford in the County of Nottinghamshire.
It occupies the southern bank of the River Trent, which was the great highway upon which the Anglo-Saxons came to settle the district, and was at one period the dividing line between the kingdoms of Mercia and Northumberland.
The Population according to the 2011 census was
Gamston - 2,164.
